The rope construction 8 x 19 Seale – NFC(sisal), see drawing, is without doubt the worldwide most common traction drive suspension rope. But also the rope construction 8 x 19 Warrington – NFC has established itself in Germany and UK due to better fatigue bending properties. Anyway, 8-strand ropes with natural fibre core are the best solution for the conventional traction drive elevator.
The rope construction 8 x 19 Seale – SFC(pp) can be used as elevator governor rope.
